as you all know my name is Kendall watterud, and I am a budding photographer in the Billings, MT area. I currenlty am enrolled at MSUB pursuing my degree in Buinsess managment. I work a full-time job as an assistant manager at Mcdonald's, and It is my goal one day to run a successfull photography business providing services ranging from weddings to landscape photography. My mission is to create those everlasting moments for my viewers and my clients.
My Photography background?
For as long as I can remember, I always had an interest in photography. I would say my fascination started in the third grade when i decided to take a photography class, and I have taken several more courses throughout the years. I chose not to be formally trained at a collegiate level for photography because I chose business management as my path of study. With that being said, I have several years worth of self-study in the subject of lighting, compositions, and equipment.
My Style?
Every photographer has a style with their works. I would say my style is not limited to just high contrast and pin-sharp images. I like to be creative with my compositions and editing. A lot of my images utilize natural light and different angles of view. When you do not own a studio you are forced to be creative. I have achieved some great shots that will hopefully stir an emotion within my viewers.
My Equipment?
Equipment, as far as camera bodies go, does not matter within the photography realm, and I do my best to educate those who ask about equipment. Technique and lighting make or break the images. I have seen amazing pictures produced by cellphones that look better than a DSLR. I started out with a cheap Canon rebel t3 that I bought my freshman year of highschool. I started to upgrade over the years after that, but recently I purchased my first professional level camera that cost me an arm and a leg. The Nikon d850 is my primary shooter along with my Nikon d500.
